why do any couples want to be married? it's taking your relationship to the next level regardless of gender. it shows affection and permanent commitment.

everyone deserves to have the right to be married. if a male and a female can get married than why shouldn't 2 males or 2 females? if you love someone you should have a right to legally be with them for the rest of your life.

I think gay couples want to get married to of course be able to declare their relationship and have it acknowledged on a religious or state level. Also, married couples receive financial benefits and 2 men or 2 women deserve to have these benefits

Marriage means making the relationship public and legal. And why shouldn't gay couples get married? They need acknowledgment and blessing from people as well

They want to be married because they love each other and want to take their relationship to the next level and aren't afraid to show their love, and it also makes it easier on them legally if one were to get seriously sick.

Gay couples want to be married for the same reason any other couple out there would want to be married: because they love each other and want to solidify their devotion to each other. Also, it's a matter of fairness and equality; a couple is a couple, it doesn't matter who it's made up of and if any other couple can be married, then they should as well.
