What is your experience with LGBT rights and the community?

Like most groups fighting for a just cause, the LGBT community strongly gets their point across in a peaceful manner. I'm in the GSA club at my school, and I can proudly say it's my favorite club. We learn relevant topics about people fighting for their independence. I have experienced a sense of family within the LGBT community. They treat me with respect, even though I am not gay. I feel like their cause is not just of gay marriage- but peace and social freedom overall.

I don't have much experience with the community, but do have very close friends who are gay so I am connected in that way by supporting them and from being part of their community, I also support the LGBT community because it is their to support my friends and people who are banded together to protect and love them. To me, it's a very special thing.

This can get complicated for me. In my country of birth, the USA, I found the LGBT+ community to be not very welcoming: sex-oriented, racist, body-shaming, misogynistic, and ironically transphobic. In addition, political rights were also a lot more limited: depending on the state we were given certain rights in terms of marriage, employment, identity change, etc. I now am studying full-time in the UK, the community is a lot more welcoming a friendly. LGBT+ people are also provided with a lot more services and political rights by the government and face a lot less social pressure, being that the UK is a lot more left-wing than the United States, especially in Scotland, where I now live.

I have two gay friends and ive known a lesbian couple for a long time and they're all pretty non caring abot rights for LGBT people. They want equality to an extent but all of them are down to earth and dont really care about what laws say. They just do what they believe and their feelings dictate to be right they dont need laws or documents to validate their actions in any way, as it should be.

I do not have much experience with the LGBT community, but many of my friends are involved in it and I support them 100%

I am personally involved in the LGBTQ community, for the most part, everyone within the LGBTQ community supports one another, sharing stories and giving hope. When I was in the process of coming out, I didn't know it existed, but I know many who have been helped by the LGBTQ
